Internships are of one of the key capacity building opportunities provided to the individual youth by the SAYEN Secretariat. Young graduates while starting their career or higher education or for whom it is an academic requirement, join us as interns. The period of internship could range from a month to nine-months. There are two kinds of internships:
a. Structured- Fixed time of the other
b. Non-structured- any time of the year
During internship, youth are involved in particular tasks such as research project, action project, development of communication media and materials and/or documentation activities of an on-going project.
At CEE
As part of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, CEE offers internship to students and young professionals in any one of CEE’s twenty-one thrust areas (www.ceeindia.org).
Objectives of the Internships
• To provide an understanding of SD concerns, issues and efforts globally
• To provide an understanding of how Education can contribute to effective Sustainable Development
• To provide an opportunity to experience a working environment and develop work-related skills
Location
Any one of the CEE project offices
Stipend
A stipend of Rs. 2000- Rs. 3500 may be offered to the interns during their period of placement, depending upon the experience and the provision in the project. All other expenses including their travel are to be borne by the interns.
Process
Interns are expected to fill-up the internship request form and send it to sayen@ceeindia.org. Interns would be informed about the placement within 15 days of sending the completed internship request form.
Certification
A completion certificate would be issued after submission of the final curricula project report.

UNEP, the SAYEN parent organization offers internship opportunities for one SAYEN member every year.
The 3 months internship starts from May. Announcement for this is made around January end. Please contact your NFP for further details on this.
